Bike Fit Service - Cycling Assessment
As well as offering physiotherapy treatment for general conditions and injuries, we also provide a service called Bike Fit – this is a cycling assessment.
To ensure best posture and avoid injuries, our team will help you locate the perfect seat, peddle and body positioning. With a bike set up at the clinic, this service will help to alleviate any pain whilst cycling and improve power and performance.

Why might a bike fit be beneficial?
If you have pain when cycling either commuting or long distance in a specific area of your body, then a bike fit can assess and identify if the cause of this is the bike set up or body limitations.
If it is the set-up of the bike this will be corrected and re-tested. If it is found to be more of a body limitation, then a specific exercise programme will be prescribed to improve mobility and/or strength in the specific area.
Are there always going to be adjustments made to the bike during the bike-fit?
Large adjustments to the bike are not always the answer to improving your bike set up. Sometimes the bike only needs a very small adjustment and it may be you as the rider that needs to change posture/technique on the bike. This is where a physio bike-fit can be extremely helpful as we can assist you with specific exercises to improve your strength, stability and/or mobility on the bike.
How much is a bike-fit appointment?
The Bike Fit appointment costs £120 and lasts around 1 hour.
Does my insurance cover a bike-fit?
A bike-fit is not included in any insurance cover therefore it is an self-funding service only.
