Since graduating in 2002 with a BSc in Physiotherapy from Keele University in Newcastle, Claire has worked in both England and Australia. Predominantly, Claire specialises in MSK, sport and orthopaedics specialties. She has a desire to provide a holistic service to her clients, alongside her passion for sport and fitness. This led to several post-graduate qualifications, including a MSc in Sports Nutrition, Level 3 and 4 Gym instruction and Personal Training from the The Australian Institute of Fitness.
Claire’s approach focuses on movement analysis alongside the manual therapy skills required. As part of her treatment, Claire uses a variety of skills such as assisted recovery from injury to rehab phase. Other elements include returning to sport or functional screening for injury prevention or performance enhancement. She uses a variety of treatments such as taping, acpuncture, massage and home exercise perscription.
From swimming to martial arts, Claire has worked with a variety of sports people both semi-pro and amateur. Her particular interest is in endurance sport and is a keen triathlete and distance cyclist. Claire competes regularly, and can count two Ironman races, several Ironman 70.3s and a number of UK and European cycle sportive events in her list of achievements to date.
The physical and mental demands from such events has led Claire to specialise in this field. She has continuted her further education in both running and cycling anaysis alongside maintaining a keen interest in sports nutrition.
